At the expressed wish of a number of people who were unable to visit Inglewood last Thursday, the Inglewood Oil and Prospecting Company has arranged for another demonstration on Thursday afternoon. Intending visitors should travel by the 12.50 p.m. train. Plant will be landed shortly for exploiting and developing the land over which options are held by an Australian syndicate. The Birthdav well at Moturoa is as good as ever, the pressure of gas and ■.oil now reaching 1401b to the square inch. The directors arc considering the erection of the necessary refineries for the Taranaki Petroleum Company's output. At the second bore everything progresses satisfactorily. Several further expert borers are due to arrive from Australia, so that the work may go on as expeditiously as possible. Machinery and apparatus for the company's third bore, at the rear of Mr Honeyfield, senior's, house, has been ordered, and the erection of the derrick is now proceeding, This site, rather nearer to the wharf than the first two bores, is on the site where excellent indications were socured by a former company.
