LOST OVERBOARD.
Per Press Association. Dr/SEBts, August 13. Thomas Thomas, an able seaman on the schooner Medora, was lost overboard on Friday while between Oamaru and Palmerston. He had just taken the wheel while the captain and the other teaman went below for a rest. Those below heard a cry for help, and rushing on deck threw a life bnoy overboard, and saw Tbomas swim towards it. The craft was pnt abont, bat though the lifebuoy was passed more than once, nothing wa9 seen of Thomas. Deceased, who was 32 years of age, was a native of Swansea, Wales, and is believed to have no relatiyes in the colony.
