Maris Clark, the Presi- . dent, delivered an address, reviewing 3 the principal events of the yoar, and f spoko of the prospects for the coming , year, which, on the whole, he consid- : crcd are cheoring. He referred to tbe change made in closing railway goods sheds at 4.30 p.m., as high-handed proceeding. Purely if the Department desires to fulfil the duties its title implios, it could do more completely if it kept in kept in touch with the vsrious Chambers of Commerce throughout the colony.
