MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting' of the above ]Ju;ud was held al .Midhirst on Friday. There were present:— Mr \Y. Jiaihaway (chairman), Messrs Kandrup, Rodgcrs, Knox, ISoUim, and Mapp. The Hoard resolved, That the repairing of Pembroke Road (west) be deterred for two months; to open up and lower the culverts on Stanley' - Road; to take no action with regard' - to lengthening the drain near Mr: S Field's properly, Pembroke l<oad;; ■ to authorise the East foreman to sell; , any old timber from Stanley Road -j Bridge not required; to secure 50 yards boulder stone at 3/0 for use on Bcaconsfield Road; to authorise Mr Hatcher to accept offer 20 yards metal at 3/ to be used when required ; instructing Mrs Cameron to attend to repairs on Croydon Road. A complaint regarding the manner in which graves are filled in at the cemetery was referred to ih ' caretaker. Messrs Mapp and Rogers were au-' 1 thorised to attend to a complaint regarding state of Hunt Road. I The matter of securing' boulders ! for use in Stanley Road was left in . the hands of Messrs Randrup and liottim. . Damage being- done by heavy traffic to the Pembroke Road (West), the clerk was instructed to communicate with the individual responsible, ' pointing- out the regulations. 1 A letter was received from Mr 1' orbes with reference to charges for [ use (jf the Public Hall. _ A deputation headed by Mr R. C. lemplar waited upon the Hoard with | regard to this matter, and after con- ( siderable discussion the Chairman ntomised to give the matter every '•onsideration, particularly with rejrnrt! to the use of the hall for school _ Cr.
