POTATOES FOR MAORIS.
Feilding, July 23. Professor Kirk, Government Bio. logist, purckased twenty-five tons of Northern Star potatoes on Saturday from Mr Henry Burrell for distribution amongst tho Maoris. These potatoes are portion of a crop yielding an averase of fifteen tons to the acre on forty acres, grown by Mr Burrell and sprayed six times with Bordeaux uiixluro as recommended by the Agri. cultural Department.
