At the annual meeting ot the local Dairy Factory, the chairman, m moving the adoption of the balance-sheet, ■stated th-ttwfc directors iu the early part of Iho year decided to consign. This year he advised selling. Butter had to reach 111 Is at Home before they touched 10,1. The water power had proved very successful. The lnliinec-shcct showed a surplus of .62308 2s 7d, with which, it was proposed, to make a further payment of Hl-lfith of a penny on the butter fat supplied from September to May. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of I'ireetors resulted as follows.- P. Kei-htlev, N. Tiaudrup A. Ward, T. C. Colson, F. Lchrkc. Mr T, H. I'euu was reappointed auditor.
The directors then held a meeting at the factory, discussing general business. Mr A. Kidd, of Waipuku, has put in an oil engine instead of steam. Mr K'dl is ingenious, and has made many improvements in his machine since installing it. Ho is more than pleased with tho way it worked last season. The public are not satisfied with (ho present management, of our Town Hall. Kvcry show concern that comes along ;;s disgusted with the manner in which it is treated. Tt is hoped the ltoad Hoard will take the matter in hand, and Ik a scale of charges.
