Mil! MESS ASSOCIATION. Gisiioune, July 25. On Monday three young men attempted to cross tho Pouawa river. F. Moore rode across first, and the others then not caring to mako tho attempt, Moore started to return. Horse and rider were swopt down stream and lost to sight, the horse's upturned heels boing seen later. Moore's friends were about to give him up as drowned, when it was found tkat he had caught hold of an overhanging willow tree, and ho was rescued in an exhausted state. The horse was drowned.
