TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.

At tlio monthly mooting of the Taranaki Education Board on Tuesday night, there wero present: Mr Jin. Wade (chairman), Mrs Dougherty, Messrs G. Adlum, G. H. Maunder, D. !-[. It was intended to proceed with the erection of latrines at Inglewood this week. Doors had Won put on four compartments m the latrines at the Central School and Stratford, and the same would be done at Inglewood. The report was received. The Stratford School Committee was granted a subsidy of K for SS towards the cost of (ho fence on the west side of the school grounds. The Inspector reported that in his opinion the Department would not entertain an application for additions lo tne West hud School. A copy will be forwarded to the Committee. The I nspoclur reported Dial from the returns for last quarter it would appear that increased accomni dation was needed at the Midliirst school, especially in the infant room. At the same lime he recommended that if additions were made, increased lighting be put inlo the targe room, a ceiling put in, and the porches put in proper order.
