At a meeting of the Trades and Labir Council, a resolution was passed protesting against giriag twelve months leave of absence on full pay to some of the high salaried men in the Council's employ, while at the same time dis. missing low wages men, in the dead of winter, and pleading that the finances would not permit of their being employed.
