UNJUSTLY SENTENCED.

With reference to the above play lo be staged at the Theatre Hoyal on Friday evening by the Taylor Carrington Company, ive reprint the fo). lowing extract: The popular Taylor. Carrmgton Company appeared to a" full house in the Hamilton Town Hall lust evening, in the sensational drama '• Unjustly Sentenced." This piece lias been plajcd throughout the colony with pronounced success, and it is only natural to suppose that Inst night's production was no exception to the ute. The scene is laid in Australia, and the plot includes such well known types of Australian character as the bushranger, sundowner, assigned servant, black tracker, and various spoci. mens of new chum. " Unjustly Sentenced " is powerfully written, and frequently punctuated with gunpowder, the attention of the audience being kept at high teution. This, however, is relieved at short intervals by bright Hashes of humour introduced principally by Mi.«* Carrington, an Australian biack follow, whoso dogged faithfulness never failed to fetch the audience. Mr Charles Taylor, as the assigned servant, has a part which suits him admirably, and carries with him the sympathy ot the audience throughout. The scenic effects are remarkably good, and the outbreak of lire in, the cave is thrilling in the extreme.
