The leading positions m the senior grade (Southern division) now arc Okaiawa and Patea 12, Hawera 11, Opunake and Waimate 10. Great interest therefore attaches to the meeting of the two leading teams at Patea to-day.
A. Guy, of fiahotu, a veteran in the Opunake Football Club ranks, and the well-known Taranaki wing-forward, informed a News representative that he intends retiring from the game at the end of this season. His services will not lie available, if Mr Bayly resumes tliem, for the Taranaki rep. team.
