BUTTER AND CHEESE.
THE HOME MARKET. Received 13, H.SC p.m. AiO.vDO.Y, July 13. Butter is steady and unchanged with little demand for Colonial. The bulk of recent arrivals his been stored. The rrincipal business is in Siberian, which is arriving at the rate of 30,000 boxes a week.
The cheese market is quiet. New Zealand is quiet at 60s to (Ms. Mr B. Dive (Eltham) representative for Wilier and Riley (London), received the following cable message yesterday:— "Ruling price for New Zealand butter is lOfls to 108s ; market firm; advances generally expected; increased price* are certain for the coming season." We learn that the Lepperton and I'arata factories have sold their output for the coming season at 10id. >,We understand that very tempting otfers have been made to the Eltham and Mangatoki factories. This morning, a good offer was made to the Whenuakura Factory which will be considered to-morrow by the directors.—"Eltham Argus."
