CHARGES OF CORRUPTION. MianoriiNK, July 11. An slurry scene took place in the Victorian Assembly durin;: which Mr Silly characterised the Bent Administration as tlie most corrupt Victoria had ever known. Mr Solly was ordered to retire from the Clumber. When he was allowed to return withdrew the remark, but alleged tin, it was made to him by a supporter of the Government.
During tlio excitement Mr Bennett cailed Mr Bent a " scandalous old rascal." He subsequently withdrew the remark, but asked for a Royal Commission to enquire inti the purchase of the Ohiruside estate, as corruption was whispered.
