SYDNEY TRAMWAY MEN'S GRIEVANCES.
DEMAND A BOYAL COMMISSION. ALLEGED ATTEMPTED BRIBERY. Received 10,11.4 p.m. Srosrr, July 10. The tramway employees are settled in . their determination to refuse a Departmental enquiry into their grievances, and to demand a Royal Commission. At a meeting to-day the President of the Union said the public coald rest assured the Union would do nothing to precipitate the service into anything that would cause disaster He stated that a certain movement had taken place to get him to return to doty, b'fM that the action wai in the nature of a bribe.
A driver named Kelly accuses the Superintendent of the tram service with attempting to bribe him to create dissension in the Union. The Superintendent denies the accusation.
