THE EDUCATION BILL.
CLAUSE SIX ADOPTED. Received 3, 9.26 p.m. London, July 3. In the House of Commons Mr J. T. Valters moved an amendment to 'lause 6of the Education Bill, which atended to secure religious instruction eing given during hours of compulsory ttendance. It was negatived by 283 a 267. Clause 0 was then carried by 291 to 117. Forty Liberals, including Sir lenry Fowler, Rt. Hon. Jas. Bryce, nd Hon. Mr Buxton, and sixty-five fationalists voted for Mr Walter's mendment.
