A quiet but pretty wedding, to which chiefly relatives and intimate friends were invited, says tho " New Zealand Herald," took place 011 Tuesday, at the residence of Mr J. Mackenzie, Commissioner of Crown Lands, when Mr W. E. It. Uurnside, M.A., of Inglewood, Tarauaki, was married to Miss Hilda Mackenzie, eldest daughter of the Commissioner. The Jiev. J. B. Russell, of Knox Church, Parnell, performed tlie ceremony, and the! bridal couple subsequently left for i Waiwera.

Mr J, H. Clayton, who has been on a visit to New Plymouth and Stratford, left for Tauranga yia Auckland on Monday evening. We are pleased to be able to report an improvement in the condition of Miss Claytou, who met with a very serious jiccident last ween.
