Mr Cricks, speaking on the censure ttlotion, [was at times dramatic, fie laid insinuations had been made re the present Government's connection Vith the land scandals, bat on his oath nothing could be said against the administration. He made an unseemly attack on Justice Owen. Beferring to Ms own position, he said his hands were tied owing to the ch&rges pending against him, but innocent or guilty, no jury in this country would convict him. He therefore suggested that the Government should withdraw the criminal charge and fight the matter out on the floor of the House.
