I GREAT WIND VELOCITY. TELEGRAPHIC COMMUNICATION INTERRUPTED. Received 26, Midnight. Stdhbt, June 26. The centre of the Antarctic disturbancs is at present South of Tasmania. The barometer is down to 28'94. The wind, which is blowing with a force of sixty miles an hour, will probably abate within twenty-four hours. There is much delay in the southern telegraphic traffic. Captain Edwin wired at noonyesterday as follows :—Gale from between north-east and north and west after W hours from now) glass fall, indications for very low after 30 hourß fron now; tides very high; sea verj heavy; rain probably heavy.
