STRIKING TRIBUTE ON THE BAILWAYB. Received 22,12.42 a.m. MBLBOtBNBjJune 21. Flags were half mast on all publio and many private buildings, out of respect to the late Mr Seddon. His former connection with the Viotorian railways was signalised in a special manner. The railway authorities issued a special order to the employees at the Newport shops that all work should coase between three and five minutes past, during whiehtime all the engines sounded their whistles at minute intervals. It was further directed each man should remain at his post in perfect) silence during the five minutes interval.
