The following Gazette Extraordinary was issued to-night: His Excellency the Governor has boen pleased to confirm as members of the Executive Council of New Zealand: Hon. William Hall-Jones, Hon. Sir Joseph George Ward, K.C.M.G., Hon. James Carroll, Hon. James McGowan, Hon, T. Young Duncan, Hon. Charles H. Mills, Hon. Albert Pitt and Hon. Mahutu Tawhiao Potatau Te Wherowhero. Mr J, F. Andrews, actingclerk of the Executive Council of Ministers, has been appointed to the Private Secretary's office, His Exoellenoy the Governor has been pleased to make the following appointments : Hon, William Hall-Joties to be Prime Minister, Colonial Treasurer, Minister of Labor and Minister of Education i Hon. Charles Houghton Mills to be Minister of Immigration; Hon. Albert Pitt to be Minister of Defence.
