A SCURVY-STRICKEN VESSEL.
PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. • Accklaxd, June 19. The Norwegian barque Agda arrived it Doubtless Bay on Saturday last and Reported that the second mato had died and that Captain Invcrsen and the torew wero in a yery low state of health. Dr. Forbes and a Customs' officer boarded tho vessel and found ,that the c&ptaln and crew were in a Bcotbutic condition, with great weakness, and swelling of the lower limbs, due to want of fresh vegetables. Il is doubtfnl if tho men are suffering from berri berri or scurvy. Dr Frengley and the Health Oflicer are endeavoring to have the vessel brought to Auckland, so that the sufferers can be treated properly. The vessel is eightyone days out from Parraliyba (South America) bound for Tonga.
