AMERICAN MEAT SCANDALS.
ROOSEVELT'S INSISTENCE ON INSPECTION. TIN TBADE AFFECTED. Received 17, 4.50 p.m. New York, Juno 16, President Roosevelt objects to the House Committee's amendments, because they do not provide for inspection of meat at all hours of day and night, and because they do not empower the Courts to roview inspectors' decisions. President Roosevelt is determined to secure adequate legislation, even if an extra session ot Congress is necessary. The meat scandals are affecting tho consumption Jof tin plates, making speculators in tin nervous.
