MUSIC AWARDS.
FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, June 17. The gold and silyer medals awarded annually by the Associated Board of tho Royal Academy of Music and Royal Collego of Music, London, to candidates who gain highest honors and marks in Now Zealand in local centre examinations, advanced, and intermediate grades, have been allotted us follows: Advanced grade, gol 1 medal, Agnes Dawson, Dune lia, pianoforte 139 marks; silyer medal, Bea trioe Horner, Hawera, pianoforte, 138 j intermediate grade, Florence M. Jones, Wellington, harmony, 138, silver medal j Mary C. Saunders, Auckland, and Cecilia Mutnin, Westport, both pianoforte, equal 135 marks. It is probable a silver medal will be awarded each of the last named candidates. The maximum number of marks was 150.
