The Rev. D. Borrie, Moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly, has forwarded the following to the Acting-Premier:—"Kindly convey to Mrs Seddon and family the deep sympathy of the Presbyterian Church with them in their sudden and sore bereavement; r our sense of the great logs sustained by them and the whole colony in the death of Mr Seddon, and our prayer that God will abundantly support and comfort them." Gbeymouth, June 14.
The Borough Council passed the following motion: This Council expresses its sorrow and regret at the untimely death of the late Richard John Seddon, and places on record its appreciation of the high qualities of the deceased statesman, and tenders to his wife and relatives their heartfelt sympathy with them in their bereavement. The Council will be represented the funeral.
