At a meeting of New Zealand rest- „ dents in Sydney, Mr Jaokson presiding, the following resolutions for submission to the Acting-Premier and Mil Seddon were earned: "We New Zealandert in Sydney desire to place on permanent record our sense of deep personal loss by the death of Mr Seddon, our profound sorrow for ud ' sympathy for Mrs Seddon and the members of tho family in their inex. pressibly sad bereavement, oar desire to unite with the rulers and people of > New Zealand in monming the great hearted D -uuf whom love of home, country «uu .umpire was a consuming* passion. We offer thankfnlnees for the opportunity so recently youohsafed to us of affectionate intereonrse with our late friend, his dosr wile, and tln v> members of his family w|io accompanied him ou his .triumphant v.sit to our adopted country." The resolutions are to be engrossed and signed by New Zealanders before being sent to Mrs Seddon.

The meeting also resolved to request Mr Kennedy of the Union Company, to represent them at the firoeral, and place a wroath on the coffin with tho inscription: "With loving sympathy from Now Zealanders in Svdncy.''
