THE APPROACH OF THE END.
COMPLAINED OF TIREDNESS. NOTHING SERIOUS WAS ANTICIPATED. Extbaobdinaby Peess Assooiation.—Boceived 11, 4.7 p.m. Sydney, June 11. Complaining of tiredness, Mr Seddon did not riso till about noon yesterday. During the afternoon he appoared languid and was apparently suffering from slight stomach trouble, but nothing serious was anticipated. The ond came with tcrriblo suddenness. He was seized with faintness and gradually became unconscious. The doctor was called and remedies applied, but all were unavailing, He died in Mrs Seddon's arms. After consultation it was decidod to return to Sydney, and the vessel's head was turned thitherward. The manager of the Press Association had a final interview with Mr Seddon on Saturday night. The Premier looked well, but was evidently tired. He said: "It has been one of the hardest month's work I have had, but I think it will be of advantage to New Zealand. I wish to thank you for what you have done for me. You havo been vory good." In the evening he and his family attended a performance of " A Man From Mexico," and afterwards had supper, then wont aboard the steamer.
