The Kaiser and Emp-ror Joseph telegraphed to King Emm muel: "We two here have united to convoy to our third faithful ally an expression of our unchangeable friendship." King Emmanuel replied: " Thanks for your amiable telegram. Accept assurance of my unalterable friendship."
The reply in some quarters is considered cool.
