TATARAIMAKA.
(From our own correspondent). The Tapuae Hill is passable now. The last heavy rains carried away many tons of earth from the filling of the Tapuae stream. There is only! a small tunnel, which is expected to carry all the water. It would have been less expense to have built a bridge in the first place. I have seen the water in the stream level with the bridge, and the tunnel will never carry off the water when it reaches that volume. It would be all right if we never had any rain.
. A yery old and respected resident passed away here on May 30th, in the person of Mr W. Wilson, after a long and painful illness. The funera', which passed through Tataraimaka on Sunday for the local cemetery, was the largest ever seen here. A sharp shock of earthquake was felt here on Sunday morning about 0 I o'clock.
An accident to Mr Boebuck's coach on Saturday night, necessitated a number of lady passengers remaining in it, in the cold and dark for about three hours, before assistance in the shape of a fresh conveyance arrived, SYKES'S DBENCH IX AUSTRALIA. Having thoroughly tested the virtues of Sykes's Drench and found it to be the most' remarkable and valuable Animal Medicine we have ever known to be used for horses, cows, sheep and pigs, we have completed arrangements whereby we are enabled to furnish this remedy to our patrons and storekeepers throughout New South Wales. PATOU & ETJSSELL, 34 and 36 Market Street, Sydney, K.B.W.
