ANDREW BLACK CONCERT.
To-morrow evening at the Theatre itoyal should be one of those long remembered events that occur in New Plymouth. The visit from such a magnificent artist as Mr Andrew Black is certain to cause great interest throughout the town. Mr Black is the foromost baritone at present on the English concert platform, and is regarded as the finest exponent of Scotch songs in the world. So that we may have an opportunity of hearing Mr Black in some of the fine Scotch numbers, he will sing Kirkconee Lea, March of the Cameron Men, Land o' the Leal—as his numbers for this particular hranob, of his art. It was a Dream (Lassea), 0 Buddier than the Cherry, Nazareth, and the Prologue from Paghacci will suffice to give the listener an opportunity of hearing the artist at his best in theso numbers. Miss Ethel Sinclair, the young lady violinisto of the company, should cause deep interest hero by her charming manner and refined playing, and she will be heard in Ireislicd (Wagner), and Plcona ' Nota' (Hubay) two excellent numbers indeed. Herr Borchke, tho Hungarian piamste, of whom wo have heard such a lot, will bo looked forward to with exciting interest, as he is described as being the best pianist that has visited Now Zealand since the groat Padorowski, Mr Borschke will play Marche Militaire (Schubert) and Polkade Concert (Saucr). Mr Horaco Glceson will be the accompanist. The. plan is at the Dresden.
