LICENSING COMMITTEE MEETINGS.
PBB PBBBS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, June 2. The annual meeting of the Newtown Licensing Committee was held to-day. All applications for renewal of licensor wero granted. There was no motion respecting the hour nf olosing, which therefore remains at in p.m. Dun-ems, .Tune 2. At the annual incotintr of th- Bruce Licensing Committee, all applien'ions were grantel, save in threereuses wh I'' adjournments were imde for repmrs to be carried out. Objection was miidr by the Rev. W. Thomson, on behalf nf the Liconsod Vuitu'i! [cr.s' Association to one applicant on the around ot bis t manner, and also raised the q'trstionas to his soberity. Conusel objected to , Mr Thomson as having no locus standi [The chairman said the matter must br t brought before the Court in a proper way. Tho case was allowed to stand over till the end of the business, but Mr Thomson had then nothing to say, and the application was adjourned for repairs to be carried out.
