ANDREW BLACK CONCERT.

Mr Andrew Black the celebrated Scots baritone, will give a concert in the Theatre Royal on Tuesday evening next. That a magnificent artist is to visit us is something to look forward to, as these visits are somewhat too rare. Mr Black's splendid singing has won him the popularity of the people of New Zealand and the business for tho trip is proving most satisfactory. Messrs Tait, who are directing Mr Black's tour, assure us that the comparison to Mdlle. Dolores, the favorite soprano, of Mr Black, as artists, is about as fine a definition as could be done. Most people knowing Mdlle. Dolores will be able to judge what this is intended for. The excellence of the concert will be maintained by Miss Ethel Sinclair, a young and well trained violiniste, who has appeared with great suocess in London, and afterwards in Australia and New Zealand. Another interesting performor is Herr Adolphc Borschke, a young Hungarian pianist of "griTat ability. Borschke has made succesful iippoarauccs in London, Borlin, Vienna, and Paris, and his technique is described as marvellous. Such an excellent combination as the above undoubtedly is, will bo a musical event in the era of New Plymouth to long remember.

The plan is now open at the Dresden.
