BIG DRAMATIC ATTRACTION.

" THE FATAL WEDDING." " Tho Fatal Wedding," fresh, from its triumphs in Molbourne and Sydney, will open at tlie Theatre lloyal on Monday, June 11th, for two- nights only. The popularity of this musical drama has penctratod nearly all parts ot Australia, and its presentation should be welcomed by an overflowing house. In many cities where the play has been seen, critics are of one opinion as regards its potent qualities to faciuato the thoatrcgoor. Strong in dramatic situations and sensational scenes, tho " FaUl Wedding " is said to teach a story of intense human interest, which abounds in liumour and pathoß—comedy and tragedy, with such a delicate touch that says one critic, " One almost finds oneself crying and laughing at the same time." Tho piece is presented in five acts and 12 scenes, two of which call for particular montion. The daring escape across tho Hudson River by moonlight and the interior of Grace Church, New j York, where the groat denouncement occurs. This sceno is said to be presented with perfect fidelity. The organ playing, tho melodous voice of tho choristers raised in hymns of praise, and above all the voice of the clergyman rendering in fervent tones the marriage, should form an impressive and wonderous spectacle. An added zest is given to the production by the presence of nearly 40 children, who, as the " Kids from the Alley," enter with their Tin Can Band, and indulges in a delightful scene of dances and songs. Tho child element which pervades the play finds itself mort strongly in evidence in the part of Jessie, the little mother, played by Miss Maisie Poser, who performance is spoken of as a revelation in child study and acting. That able stage manager, Mr C. R. Stanford, will direct the intricate maze of the play, whilst the presence of a full orchestra is under tho baton of that experienced maestro, Mr Wynne-Jones, The plan closes at the Dresden on Tuesday next.
