DUNEDIN FORESHORE LEASES.

The first note of real trouble in connection with the aotion of the Eailway Department in outting off access to the foreshore came before the Harbor Board to-day when Mc Grogor and Co,, ironfounders etc., wrote asking for a reduction in ground rent. Tljey pointed out that when they leased the ground, Stuart street was open and was one of the main thoroughfares of the city, and the ground was valuod accordingly. Since Stuart street was closed by the erection of the new railway station across it, they were cut off from the centre of the city a»d wero now in the baokblocks. In consequence, the firm's business had suffered to the extent of several hundred pounds sterling per annum.
