EDUCATION BOARD AND CADET OFFICERS.
TO THE KDITOB. Sin,—Youf article of the 21th msfc,, clearly sets out the position, and, in addition, I may point out that the matter of alleged irregularities lies outside the jurisdiction of the Board. Cadet officers are responsible to the O.C. public school- cadets. The discipline is military, not civil, and hence the popularity of tlio cailet movoment among teachers throughout the colony. That cadet officers should be censured without being called upon to defend themselves, and without investigation into the facts of the case is surely an extraordinary perversion of justice. The position is not to bo tolerated. Should cadet officers tamely submit to the unwarranted strictures passed upon them by the Board, then I state emphatically that the dignity attaching to their positions is for over gone.—l am, etc., EX-Vqidnttob.
