SUICIDE.
PBB PBEB9 ASSOCIATION, "WEllington, May 26. Captain W. Short, a retired master mariner, 7o yoars of age, was found dead in bis bedroom, with his throat cut, to-day.
Wellington, May 27. At the inquest concerning the death of Captain Short, it was shown that deceased had been suffering from~n internal complaint and had beon in low spirits for some time. A verdict of suieido while in a state of despondcncy was returned.
