Rcccivod 26, 12.27 a.m. Sydney, May 25. The A.M.P. annua meeting was highly satisfactory. The report showed accumulated funds had increased to twenty-one million four hundred and twenty-threo thousand, while the bonus average was about the same as last year. The chairman mentioned that amongst tho causes which hud contributed to the year's success was the disclosures in connection with certain American societies, which had the effect of minimising their competition. There had been a satisfactory acquisition of new business. The success of the year's operations, instead of being arguments against extension of business to Britain was practically an indication that they had chosen the psychological moment for the departure. He paid a tribute to Mr Littlejohn, the late chairman. Mr Duncan reported that new business in New ZeiUiil showed a slight increase on the previom your, though it wis d.iily becoming more difficult to maintain the (low of nan business there, owing to the of the competition, competitors being prepared to pay more to get it than the head office considered would be right in their case.
