Ben Tscristc hky, the |new German Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, speaking in the Reichsti'*, said there '- were strong grounds for believing th»t German interests would n>tbi affected even if Britain and Rusut arriyed at an understaidinj regarding then Asiatic relations. The Triple Alliance now stands firmer, Italy having recently given explicit assurances to that effect. He aided that Britain's welcome to the Burgomasters was heartily reciprocated by the German Government and people.
