This match was played at Eltham on Saturday ; afternoon, and resulted in a win forthe visiting team by 3 points to nil. .Eltham started with three men short, and as a re.-ult, C. Thurston crossed the line anl scored for Patea within ( two minutes from the commencement of , the'game. 0. Burke took-the lick at .goal, but failed to add the major points'. JShortly afterwards ijjatca were again .within- an ace of pcorine, but j. Moir.saved the situation Jpr,r.!,t. i.toi. About half-way through ihc second spell, JUthanrbecame aggreslive raid made repeated attempts to scop*, though wit'iout success, the game ending; Patea 3, Eltham nil. For the winners Hammertoe was the most prominent amongst the forwards, and C. Sheehan and C. Thurston amongst the backs. For Eltham, May and McDonald played good forward games, and Dine and J. Moir played sterling games, the latter as full-back being right up to his best form, Mr A, Hunter acted as referee.

At Hawcra, on Saturday, Okaiawa Seniors defeated Hawcra somewhat easily by 17 points to 3. FIRST JUNIOBS. At Kaponga, Patea 11. were defeated by Waimate B 11. (Kaponga players) by 12 to nil. Okaiawa 11. defeatel Hawera by 0 points to 3. SECOND JUJS'IOKS Hawera 111. beat Waimate 111. by "14 points to 3. The following will represent Ingle-! wood on Thursday next. Seniors: Cleave, Speakman, O'Carroll, Sutherland, .Delaunay, Cleland, Taylor, McLeod, Burkett, Hewer, Wells, Stewart, Kinse la (2), Towensend. The Second Juniors team wilt be : E. Julian, N. Gyde, L.
