Lieut. Colonel Leuehar's force killed, six Zulu rebels on the outskirts of Minla bush, on the Tugela river, in a fight near Cetawayo's grave, the enemy being driven into the forest.
Some, while leaving the scene of the fighting, were surprised and captured.
Colonel McEcnzie has begun extensive operations.
Twenty-one of Sigatnandas and Sili vana's followers have surrendered.

The "Natal Mercury" in an apparently inspired article, declares the presence of warships at Durban at the outset of the trouble would have dispelled the idea that Britaii was holding aloof. Even now a parade of bluojackets and guns in the streets would have an excellent morol effect.
