THE THAMES GOLDFIELDS.
FEB MBSI ASSOCIATION. ! Thahis, May 17. > The Drainage Board has decided to again bring under the notice of the Government the scheme for development of the deep levels at the Thames. They ask that the area reserved from the goldfields should now be put back, so that it eould be assessed and mined. When the collapse came of the Whittaker Wright group, the ThamesHaurala (now the Government) pilmpinn plant was purchased by the Government for the benefit of the field, and the area of the Queen of Beauty mine was reserved for the protection of the publio't interest. The Drainage Board has now taken over the administration of the large pumping works and want the area to revert back to the goldfields for mining purposes.
