TURF TOPICS. [Bx " MOTUBOA."! Hutana, Apiti, Kremlin, Lull and Shrapnel hare been withdrawn from all engagements at the Auckland Winter meeting, As Exmoor has been nominated for the Wanganui meeting, it appears the Grafton gelding is to be given another trial over hurdles. The best ho has done so far in tun line was to run second to Inniskillen at the Taranaki summer meeting last year, earring 9st 131b. " Advance " says: —" The gel fling is a very hard puller and being difficult to steady, is rather a wild fencer. If he could be induced to settle down he might win a good hurdle race, as there is no doubt he has plenty of pace on the flat." Aka Aka is reported to be going very well in his work. It is anticipated that large acceptances will be received for the Great Northern Hurdles and Steeples.
' D. Price had five wins at the Hawke's Bay meeting. It is reported that the Rev. Father Campbell, breeder of Antonius, one of the best two-year-olds in Australia, has a yearling full sister to him, whidi ho oonsiders even more promising than the colt.
