CARRINGTON ROAD BOARD.
At the last meeting of tho above, all members were present. The following resolutions were passed:—That Messrs Lashbrook, Browne and Butcher be a committee to interview property owners mid get the best terms upon which they will sell to the Board the necessary strip of land for widening Victoria road from Shortland Street to Holdsworthy road, being part of Messrs Healy's, Potter's, Bannister's and Cock's properties; That Messrs Lashbrook and Tribe, together with Messrs Carter and White (appointed at the householders meeting) wait on the Council and get thoir best terms for electric lighting of road; That the water table from the gate at Mr Cock's main entrance be paved down to Mr Maundcr's; That a crossing and culvert be put down at the roadway between Messrs Johnston's and Pepperill's in Vogeltown; That the Secretary's salary be £2O for the current year owing to increase of work; and that Messrs Wilson and Co. be notified that they must not pat a tramline on any road under the control of the Board without first obtaining a permit.
