SIXTY FBET IN LENGTH. ACCOMPANYING THE TAVIUNI. PBlt PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland,' May 11. The officers of the Taviuni, which arrived from Cook Islands to-night, report sighting a sea serpent off tha Kermadecs both on the outward and inwa'd voyage. The serpent was close to the steamer and is described as reddish in color, about 60 feet Ion;;, with a head resembling a gurnet. The serpent roinninod in close proximity to the steamer for some time on both occasions. The differences in distance between the sighting of the serpent on the outward and inward voyages was about 60 miles.
