Wbiunqton, May 0. The charge of manslaughter against Thomas Goodgor is proceeding in the Supreme Court to-day. Goodgor is alleged to hnvo stabM a mnn named Prestidge, in a quarrel. Prestidge died of septic poisoning caused by the wounds.

Tho jury disagreed in this caso of Thomas Goodger charged with ihc manslaughter of John Prestidge. Gisidbne, May 9, The Supreme Court was occupied nil day m connection with tho daylight robbery of a Chinamen's house in January, for which four men were charged and found guilty. Andrew McKeown, the chief culprit and who has a previous record, was sentenced to two years' hard labor. Thomas O'Connor received six months, John Stevens three months, and George Heywood was admitted to probation.

Chbistchubch, May 9, At tho Supreme Court to-day, it was decided to postpone tho new trial of John Eoss, oharged with keeping a gaming house, until next sessions. The charge against Maurice Heslip of assisting in keeping a oommon gaming house, to wit the room Koss was alleged to have kopt for the purpose, was also adjourned.

At the Supreme Court to-day, John Kennedy, an elderly man of good character hitherto, was fined £25 for assaulting another man. The Judgo said the assault had evidootly boon committed in a moment of passion.
