PERSONAL.
Mr T. H. Penu, of Stratford, was in New Plymouth yesterday. At Masterton on Monday, the Rev. J. N. Buttle, late of New Plymouth, was publicly welcomed to Masterton. Mr D. J. Malone, of Stratford, a member of the Taranaki Rugby Union Management Committee, was on a business visit to New Plymouth on Tuesday. A press wire received this morning states that amongst other Now Zealanders, Messrs H. McCoy and 11. Partington are safe at San Francisco.
The Premior left Wellington for Christchurch last night.
