A statement has been made here that all the leading Now South TV ales players, including every man who played in inter-State cricket last year, ■have signed ail agreement with the Melbourne Club to play wherever asked, and against any English team the Club may bring out. Tasmania lias agreed, without accepting any financial responsibility, to join the Melbourne Club in asking Marylcbonc to send a team. In the event ef Marylebone declining, the Melbourne 'Club will ask some leading players to '•bring out a team. Received 8, 11.31 p.m. SrDHEY, May 8. It it understood that the executive ' of the Sfew South Wales Cricket Association, declined (?) in event of the Melbourne Club bringing out an Engli?h team, to block matches in Sydney, and to disqualify New t South Wales players playing agSinsfc the Englishmen in Sydney or elsewhere. The Association will give players who ' promised their services to the Melbourne Club, a chance to withdraw 'before taking extreme steps. A meetLing of the Association is lo be held to discuss the executive's •decision.
