MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN EVER. NEW ZEAL ANDEES RETURN. ING HOME. FEB TSEBB ASSOCIATION. Wellington, May 7. The Premier to-day received the following cablegram from Mr Hugh Craig, an ex-Mayor of San Francisco in reply to a cabled inquiry addressed to him: " Speckles is providing for the transportion of all New Zealanders to Auokland. I am unaware of injury having been sustained by any New Zealanders. Six square miles are in rains and it will take four months for the railroad and ten thousand men to remove the debris. The new city will be erected instanter. It will be more beautiful and will eorrect past errors. The Insurances Companies disburse two hundred millien dollars. The Commercial and Savings Banks open next week. Eastern capital is being offered for rebuilding. The population is full of courage, and there is plenty of work and plenty o£ food, A thousand thanks for your sympathy."
