Capetown, May 2. The Cape Premier offered to send, free of cost, .a mule battery of six maxims, equipped and manned by Cape Mounted Riflemen, alto a detachment of signallers. Mr Smythe, Premier of Natal, replied that there are sufficient forces in the field at present, adding that he V would gratefully accept the offer if the insurrection spreads.
