OBITUARY.
MB G. 8. BRIDGE. m PFBM ASSOCIATION. WiHoAiroi, April 27. G. S, Bridgo, for many years Chairman of the Wanganui Education Board and a leading public man, died to-night, aged 66 years.
MR FREDERICK W. BROOKING,
Residents of New Plymouth and Stratford will learn with regret of the death of Mr F. W. Brooking, of Stratford, which occurred at New Plymouth yesterday afternoon. Mr Brooking lately underwent an operation lor appendicitis, from which, after a temporary recovery, he gradually tank. The late Mr Brooking lived his whole life in Taranakf, having been born at Waitara 36 years ago, and educated at New Plymouth. At the time of his death he was in business as a land aid commission agent at Stratford, and also held the office of Returning Officer for tho Fatea electorate, and agent for the State Fire Insurance office. He was at one time part proprietor of the "Egmont Settler at Stratford. A widow and five young children are left to mourn their loss, and for them and deceased's relatives in New Plymouth, the deepest sympathy will be felt.
