LAND VALUATIONS.
Interviewed by a Daily News reporter on Wednesday, Mr. S. Hill, District Valuer, said that siuee his interviews with objectors on Friday last, numerous other objectors had been to him, and told him that atter hearing his version on top of the explanations given by Friday's objectors, they would withdraw their objections, tn some cases, the assessments had been increased since Friday, and the total valuation of the borough now stood at a higher figure than when the agitation was first commenced, the increases' more than balancing the reductions made. Of the thirty or forty present at the first meeting, only about six were expected to face the Assess*! nient Court.
